Welcome 2016 HR Link Fun Committee Team Members!

What really makes work fun? Our mission, should we choose to accept it, is to create a fun, engaging and inspiring environment for ourselves and our colleagues. Fun starts with how we work and with each of us finding our place and purpose on the team. It's events and all hands, time to connect and get to know each other beyond the work we share each day. But, fun is also so much more about how we work and interact, and our feeling like work is a place we can bring our whole selves.

I am truly looking forward to working with all of you as we take a great team and a solid foundation to the next level through sharing and being fun. :)

We kicked off the 2016 HR Link Fun Committee this afternoon.

Recap:
- We covered the first few months of this year, along with some general principles we'll use to guide our work.
- We'll do a combo of planned and spontaneous events, and each member will contribute in the way most fun and meaningful for them
- Our first few volunteers signed up:

January - Cara Swartout
February - Shannon Kalmbach
March - Emily Chappel

Volunteer thoughts... does this sound okay to the group?

- Volunteers are responsible for planning/leading fun events for the month in question. They are free to enlist as much support from the rest of the team.

- Volunteers will also manage messaging/communications with a note out to the HR Link team on behalf of the Fun Committee each month. We'll shoot to get this out each month the first week of each month... and theme/topic/style is up to the volunteer writing it. Think fun, blog, conversational vs. formal update. Let's target having it done the last week of each month and sharing it with the group for iteration/feedback before having it sent out from the HR Link email acct.
